TRABER TAKES HOME NEC PLAYER OF THE WEEK HONORS

Senior tri-captain Lauren Traber earns the Northeast Conference Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week award after her clutch scoring helped UMBC post a 1-1 record last week. Versus #5 ranked Virginia, Traber registered three points (2 g/1 a) to pace the Retrievers attack in a 19-10 setback. The Columbia, MD native then rang-up four goals in UMBC’s 19-9 road victory over Cal-Berkeley on Friday, as the Retrievers halted the Golden Bears eight-game winning streak. An all-NEC first teamer last season, Traber currently ranks third on UMBC in scoring with 15 points (12 g/3 a).
