WOMEN’S LACROSSE RECORDS FIRST WIN OF SEASON WITH 16-7 VICTORY OVER MOUNT ST. MARY’S

Baltimore, MD –
UMBC was able to score four goals before the Mountaineers would get on the board courtesy of an unassisted goal by Nicole DiAngelo. However, the Mount could not hold off the Retriever attack, as UMBC went into halftime, up 9-4.
In the second half, Retrievers Hess, Allen, and senior Lauren Traber each scored a goal to extend the lead to 12-4. The Mountaineers would answer with three goals of their own to pull within five. However, UMBC would score the final four goals of the game to hold on to the 16-7 victory.
UMBC returns to action on Friday, March 21, when they travel to Loretto, PA for a conference matchup against St. Francis (PA) at 3:30 p.m.
