Women’s Lacrosse Downs Delaware, 8-5

BALTIMORE—The UMBC women’s lacrosse team (4-2) scored the first three goals of the game and never looked back in an 8-5 victory over Delaware (2-3) Wednesday afternoon at UMBC Stadium.

Senior attack Erika Braerman (Fallston, Md./Fallston) opened the second-period scoring with an unassisted goal just 1:21 into the half, and neither team scored again for more than 10 minutes.
With the Retrievers leading, 7-5, and time winding down, junior attack Emily Coady (
Stodter notched her second hat trick of the season, leading all scorers with three goals, while Braerman tallied three points on two goals and an assist. Drost led the Blue Hens with a pair of goals.
