Women’s Lacrosse Inks Five for 2011 Season

“Each player brings a different quality to the field, so I feel like we have the whole package with this class,” Berger said. “I do feel that it’s one of our most athletic classes coming in and that we’ll be able to teach them exactly what we’re striving for at UMBC.”
Taylor Robinson, Attack, 5-4, Manlius, N.Y./Fayetteville-Manlius – Robinson was selected to the 2009 Under Armour All-American Upstate New York Underclass Team after scoring 29 goals and adding 16 assists, 17 draw controls and 112 ground balls as a junior. She was also named to the All-Central New York Colonial League First Team last season.
Taelar Errington, Midfield, 5-8, Valley Lee, Md./Leonardtown – Errington was an Honorable Mention All-American in 2009, as well as an Academic All-American. She has led Leonardtown to three straight Southern Maryland Athletic Conference championships and has been named to the SMAC All-Conference Team each season.
Jackie Benson, Midfield/Defense, 5-3, Nesconset, N.Y./Smithtown East – Benson was an All-County honorable mention last season at
Maddie Irwin, Defense/Midfield, 5-4,
Jenn Wells, Attack, 5-6, Eldersburg, Md./Liberty – Wells was a Second-Team All-County selection as a sophomore in 2008 and a Second-Team All-Conference pick as a junior in 2009. In addition, she led the Lions to back-to-back county titles and to a berth in the 2009 regional tournament.
