Down 2-1 after 3:26 of play, the Retrievers rattled off six straight goals and 13 of 14 to end the half and take a 14-3 lead at intermission. Only a tally by Dorr scored the Retrievers’ first three goals of the game, and her third started a stretch in which UMBC tallied three times in less than a minute. The Retrievers made it 11 in a row and 17 of 18 with the first four goals of the second half. Iona scored three of the next four, but sophomore midfielder Ashley Stodter’s ( Dorr added an assist to tie her career high with six points. Pappas also tallied a helper to finish with a career-high-tying four points, while senior attack Abbey Swift also recorded a season-high four points on a goal and a career-best three assists.
