Women’s Lacrosse Drops Fourth Straight, 19-12, to Towson

The Retrievers were down, 3-2, after just 4:39 had passed, but the host Tigers scored seven of the next 10 goals to jump out to a 10-5 lead. Junior midfielder Abbey Swift’s first goal of the day with 4:52 left in the half made the score 10-6 at halftime.

The Retrievers finished the game on a 5-1 run, with two goals by Levendusky, but it was not enough to prevent the 19-12 loss.
Four different Tigers scored three goals apiece, led by midfielder Hillary Fratzke, who added two assists for a game-high five points. She was joined by midfielder Nikki Marcinik, attack Meggie McNamara and attack Lauren McAfee.
Junior Susie Sweeney started the game in goal for the Retrievers and allowed seven goals while making two saves in 21:41 of play. Sophomore Kate Quick relieved her and stopped 10 shots while allowing 12 goals in 32:42 of action. Freshman Natalie Rau made her collegiate debut, playing the final 5:37.
The Retrievers return to action on Saturday, March 22, when they take on America East rival
