UMBC Women’s Lacrosse Announces Winter Clinics
BALTIMORE—UMBC women’s lacrosse coaches Courtney Connor, Quinn Carney and Kelly Berger will host two clinics this winter at UMBC – the 2008 C2 Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Clinic at UMBC and the C2 Lacrosse Developmental Winter Clinic.
The coaches’ clinic will take place Saturday, Feb. 2, from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. and will discuss new and advanced coaching concepts and practice drills through chalk talk, video sessions, live demo practice with the UMBC women’s lacrosse team, a recruiting and NCAA session, a conditioning segment and more. Cost is $75, and lunch is included. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. at the RAC.
The developmental clinic is for girls ages 10-18 and will take place on Saturday, Feb. 2, from 2-6 p.m. The clinic offers instruction and training in skills and the latest techniques for stick work, shooting, defense, offense and basic concepts of the game. The participants will be divided by age and skill level. Enrollment in the clinic is limited. Cost is $50 per player and includes a ball.
