WOMEN'S LACROSSE EVENS RECORD AT 4-4 WITH 9-5 WIN OVER SACRED HEART

Fairfield, CT-- After leading by just one goal following the first half, the UMBC women’s lacrosse team took control of their game with Sacred Heart today in the second half, outscoring the Pioneers 5-2 en route to their 9-5 win.UMBC junior midfielder Stephanie Allen led the Retrievers with two goals while seven of her teammates chipped in a goal apiece. Senior attacker Loree Miller began the scoring for UMBC with her goal just 1:39 into the contest. The Retrievers would eventually take a 4-2 advantage on sophomore attacker Jen Dragoni’s goal at 28:35. The Pioneers, however, would add a last second tally at 29:47 to cut the UMBC lead to one, 4-3, at halftime.
