Assistant Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Carney, Berger Selected to U.S. Elite Team

Baltimore-UMBC’s two new assistant women’s lacrosse coaches, Quinn Carney and Kelly Berger were both selected to the 2007-08 U.S. Elite Team following a tryout on Aug. 5 at UMBC Stadium.
A total of 98 players competed in the tryout, which was conducted by U.S. Lacrosse, and Carney and Berger were among 24 players selected to the Elite Team. An additional 24 players were named to the Developmental Team.
“To have two people on my staff who continue to play at the international level and serve as ambassadors for the sport will be tremendous for our players,” UMBC head coach Courtney Connor said.
