Baltimore-UMBC women’s lacrosse coaches Courtney Martinez Connor, Tara Singleton and Tina Fedarcyk Fellner will host two clinics this winter at UMBC – the 2007 C² Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Clinic at UMBC and the C² Lacrosse Developmental Winter Clinic.

The coaches’ clinic will take place Saturday, Jan. 27, 2007, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. and will discuss new and advanced coaching concepts and practice drills through chalk talk, video sessions, live demo practice with the UMBC women’s lacrosse team, a recruiting and NCAA session, a conditioning segment and more. Cost is $75, and lunch is included.

The developmental clinic is for girls ages 10-18 and will take place Sunday, Feb. 4, 2007, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., with a rain date set for Sunday, Feb. 11. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. at UMBC Stadium. Cost is $50 per player and includes a ball.

The clinic offers instruction and training in skills and the latest techniques for stick work, shooting, defense, offense and basic concepts of the game. The participants will be divided by age and skill level. Enrollment in the clinic is limited.
