Baltimore, Md.-Three UMBC women’s lacrosse players – juniors Kelly Fahey (Bel Air, Md./Bel Air), Heather Licht (Sparks, Md./Hereford) and Megan Mullins (Westminster, Md./Westminster) – were selected to the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Division-I Academic Honor Roll, the organization announced last week.

All three players were members of the 2006 America East Spring All-Academic Squad. An American studies major, Fahey was named to the America East All-Conference Second Team after scoring 33 goals, posting 12 assists and winning 33 draw controls.

A pre-med student, Licht provided a spark off the bench for the Retrievers with nine goals, while Mullins, a psychology major who earned a perfect 4.0 grade-point average this spring, started 14 games and created 13 caused turnovers.

The IWLCA honored 141 Division-I student-athletes with inclusion on the Academic Honor Roll.
