FOUR RETRIEVERS NAMED TO WOMEN'S LACROSSE ALL CONFERENCE TEAM
5/5/2005
Seniors Stephanie Crouch (Fallston) and Anna Jacobs and junior Jocena Venditti each earned Second Team All America East honors, and freshman Ali Levendusky (John Carroll) was named to the league’s All Rookie Team in voting by the league’s seven head coaches.
It was the fourth consecutive year that Crouch, a defender, had earned a league honor. She was the Northeast Conference Rookie of the Year in 2002, earned First Team Northeast honors in 2003, and First Team America East honors last season. Jacobs, a midfielder, led the Retrievers in scoring with 33 goals and 10 assists, surpassing her career totals amassed in parts of three seasons. Venditti, an attacker, who missed a pair of years with torn knee ligaments, posted her career bests with 15 goals and 7 assists.
Levendusky came on strong late in the season, scoring 3 goals in the win over Stony Brook which propelled UMBC into the league semi-finals, and adding a career best 5 points (4 goals, 1 assist) in that semi-final match-up against third-ranked Boston University.
