FIORANI NAMED AMERICA EAST WOMEN'S LACROSSE CO-PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Junior midfielder Kelly Fiorani (Eldersburg, Md./Liberty) was named co-America East Conference Women’s Lacrosse Player of the Week for the week ending April 24, 2005. She shared the honor with New Hampshire attacker Katie Leland.

Fiorani equaled her career high with a five-goal effort in UMBC’s 16-7 win over Binghamton on Sunday. She finished with 7 points, one shy of a career high. Fiorani also posted a 4-goal, 1-assist effort two days earlier vs. Ohio University and now needs 4 goals to reach the 100-goal plateau in her career. She is currently second on the team with 36 points on 25 goals and 11 assists.
