Background: A two-time US Lacrosse High School All-American and Academic All-American as a junior and senior at Coronado High School in Coronado, Calif.… Earned the 2007 Islander Sports Foundation Award as a junior… A two-time CIF First-Team All-Section and All-League pick… Also a two-time San Diego Union Tribune All-Academic First Team selection… Team captain as a senior… A Galaxy All-American First Team selection in 2006… Played at North Kitsap High School in Poulsbo, Wash., from 2004-06 and was named team MVP all three years… Led the state of Washington in assists (35) as an eighth grader… Earned Second-Team All-State honors as a freshman and sophomore… Led North Kitsap to the Washington State Varsity B Championship in 2004, scoring five goals and five assists in the title game… Scored 379 points on 219 goals and 160 assists, collected 163 ground balls, caused 144 turnovers and won 174 draw controls in 84 career high school games… A five-year varsity starter… Played for the Pacific Northwest Regional Team at Nationals in 2005-06 and for the Pacific Regional Team in 2007… Also a standout high school basketball player who scored 1,033 career points and earned First-Team All-League and All-Academic honors… Was named Coronado’s Most Outstanding Scholar Athlete in 2008… A native of Davidsonville, Md….
