Erin LaMotte Koenig joined the Retrievers as an assistant coach in August 2008 after two seasons coaching at her alma mater, Mount St. Mary’s.

During her tenure, the Mountaineers compiled a 17-19 record and advanced to the four-team Northeast Conference Tournament both years. In 2007, Mount St. Mary’s posted a perfect 8-0 mark against Northeast Conference opponents before falling to Monmouth in the league championship game.
While at the Mount, LaMotte Koenig was responsible for overseeing the midfield and defense. She also co-founded and co-directed the Rapid Fire Lacrosse Camps.

LaMotte Koenig was a four-year letterwinner on the Mount St. Mary’s women’s lacrosse team and helped the squad to back-to-back Northeast Conference regular-season and tournament titles in 2004 and 2005. She played all four years under Connor, who coached the Mountaineers from 2001-05.
A two-time All-NEC First Team selection, she ranks second in program history in draw controls (106), third in ground balls (179), fourth in goals (102), fifth in caused turnovers and seventh in assists (36). LaMotte Koenig was also selected to play in the North/South Division I Senior All-Star Game.
The 2004 team MVP and 2005 team captain, LaMotte Koenig received Mount St. Mary’s Kolon Award, which is given to the senior student-athlete who exhibits inspirational effort and leadership, in addition to athletic achievement.
LaMotte Koenig graduated from Mount St. Mary’s with a bachelor’s degree in sociology and elementary education in 2005, and she earned her master’s degree in sports and exercise science from
