On Kasper: Returning from a knee injury that kept her out most of last season…great leader on the offensive end of the field…has great skills and will take charge on the field.
2005: Played in three games for the Retrievers, starting two, before suffering a season-ending knee injury… Posted two goals, won a draw control and collected three ground balls before her injury… Scored her only goals of the season in UMBC’s first game of the year at Loyola.
2004: Played in all 16 games, finishing the year with 12 goals and five assists… Had a hat trick against Stony Brook, as she scored the eventual game-winner in the 24-10 victory… Posted four multi-goal games, won 18 draw controls and picked up 21 ground balls.
2003: Made key contributions in the NEC title game against Mount St. Mary’s as she scored three goals and posted an assist... Was named womenslacrosse.com Rookie of the Week for her performance against the Mount… Had a stellar freshman campaign, scoring 20 goals while winning 23 draw controls and picking up 27 ground balls... Notched her first career goal and point against Old Dominion.
Background: A first-team all-county pick by The Baltimore Sun and Carroll County Times as a sophomore, junior and senior… Captained the South Carroll team as a senior… Selected as WTTR Athlete of the Week as a senior and Carroll County Times Player of the Week every year except as a freshman… Was also a three-year letter-winner in basketball and soccer, captaining both teams as a senior and earning all-county honors in soccer from The Baltimore Sun as a junior and senior… Daughter of Tom and Cathy Kasper… Younger sister, Kelly, plays lacrosse at
