On Raab: Will battle to maintain her starting goalie job when she returns from an injury.

 

2005: Started all 15 games in goal for the Retrievers, playing a total of 901:27 minutes… Posted a 14.58 GAA, allowing 219 goals against 125 saves for a .363 save percentage… Ranked fifth in the conference with 8.33 saves per game… Collected a team-best 31 ground balls and caused eight turnovers… Recorded a season-best 12 saves against William and Mary, American and Boston University.

 

2004: Established herself as a starter late in the season… Saw action in 15 games, finishing the year with a 5-3 record… Made 67 saves in 528:34 minutes of play… Named America East Rookie of the Week on April 19 after posting a 7.71 GAA with 14 saves and five ground balls in two UMBC wins… Named the team’s Unsung Hero.

 

Background: Was an all-American honorable mention in 2003… Was also a U.S. Lacrosse academic all-American and an all-Western New York honoree in 2002 and 2003… Garnered team MVP honors in 2002 and 2003 and was team captain as a senior… Received the New York State Attorney General's Triple "C" and Principal's Leadership Award as a senior… Also lettered in soccer at Amherst… Was student council secretary in high school… Daughter of Mel and Linda Raab… Has two older sisters, Lisa and Kathy, and an older brother, John… Lisa played lacrosse, basketball and tennis at William Smith College… Born Dec. 6, 1984...
