BACKGROUND: An Academic All-American in 2003 and 2004… Was a National All-American Scholar Athlete and Wendy’s High School Heisman Award nominee as a junior… Also received three letters in field hockey, and was selected to the First Team All-Conference IAAM… Was a member of the National Honor Society, and was an Honorable Mention for the Maryland Distinguished Scholar award… Also considered Loyola and Delaware, but chose UMBC because of “the family nature of the lacrosse team and school community”… Daughter of Lisa and Lou Gambino… Born on December 3, 1986… Majoring in Information Systems.
