Courtney Stringer joined the Retriever staff this past fall, and earning four letters for Coach Yeakel as a player.
Coach Stringer played every minute of every game as the Retriever goalkeeper in both the 2002 and 2003 seasons. She served as one of the team's captains last season, leading UMBC to its second consecutive NCAA berth. She amassed 347 saves in her career, currently fifth on UMBC's all-time saves list. The Dulaney High School grad earned UMBC's Retriever Club Scholarship award after her junior season.
She earned her degree in Sociology this past December.
Courtney's brother Gavin, '02, earned a pair of letters for UMBC lacrosse in 2001 and 2002.
