BACKGROUND: An All-County Honorable Mention as a senior and recipient of the Best Senior Female Athlete Award… Was a member of the Honor Roll during all four years in high school… Captained her John Carroll field hockey team and received All-County and IAAM All-Conference honors… Also considered Mount St. Mary's, North Carolina, and Quinnipiac, but selected UMBC for "the team's atmosphere, prestigious academics, and coaches' philosophies"… Daughter of Steven and Kristine Sankovich… Born on December 21, 1985… Majoring in American Studies with an emphasis on Communication.
