Retrievers’ Three-Game Winning Streak Halted by 71-45 Loss at No. 23 Maryland

But the Terrapins responded with a 9-0 run over the next 5:30 to regain control of the game, and the Retrievers did not get within 20 points in the remainder of the contest.
Brown led UMBC with 14 points and tied her career high with four 3-pointers. Obajolu was the only other Retriever in double figures with 12 points on 5-of-8 shooting. Kurowski finished with eight points and a team-high five rebounds, while Brokans dished out seven assists.
The Retrievers shot 50 percent (12-for-24) in the second half after making just five of 18 attempts (27.8 percent) in the first period and finished at 40.5 percent for the game.
