Kurowski, Brown Tabbed to Iona Thanksgiving Classic All-Tournament Team

Kurowski averaged 24.5 points per game while shooting 56.7 percent (17-for-30) from the floor and draining seven of 11 three-point attempts. She added 3.0 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 2.5 steals in the two contests, and she was a perfect 8-for-8 from the foul line. In the first game against
Brown averaged 14.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists on the weekend. She scored 14 points and dished out a career-high five assists to go along with a team-best six rebounds against the Rockets, then added another 14 points and six boards against the Bears. She also drained a pair of 3-pointers in both contests.
This marks the second time in three years that Kurowski has earned all-tournament team honors at the Iona Thanksgiving Classic, as she was also selected to the squad in 2008, the last time the Retrievers played in the tournament.
The Retriever duo was joined on the all-tournament team by Lecretia Smith and Melissa Goodall of Toledo, Marissa Flagg and Kristina Ford of Iona and Lindsay Nickel of Brown. Smith was tabbed the tournament’s MVP.
