2010-11 America East Womenís Basketball Schedule Announced

BALTIMOREóThe UMBC womenís basketball team revealed the America East portion of its 2010-11 schedule, which tips off at Stony Brook on Monday, Jan. 3, at 7 p.m.

The Retrievers finished the 2009-10 campaign with a 13-17 overall record, including 7-9 in league play to earn a share of fourth place in the conference standings, and they have been picked to finish fifth in the America East preseason poll.
Despite the loss of the programís second all-time leading scorer in Carlee Cassidy, head coach Phil Stern returns four starters from last yearís squad, including junior guard Michelle Kurowski, who has ranked in the top 10 in the league in scoring in each of her first two seasons at UMBC, as well as junior center Topť Obajolu, who really stepped up in America East action last year, averaging nearly 10 points per game.
