Sheila Johnson banked in a game-winning three-point goal at the buzzer to defeat LIU.

UMBC senior forward Sheila Johnson banked a desperation three-point goal at the buzzer to give UMBC a 61-60 victory over defending NEC champion Long Island, Saturday evening at Fairleigh Dickinson.Trailing 60-58 with three second remaining, Johnson took a full court baseball pass from junior Tiffany Coll and drilled just her second career three-point goal with no time remaining on the clock.UMBC (7-11, 3-6 NEC) had an opportunity to win the game with four seconds remaining, but junior Millette Green missed a pair of free throws, with UMBC trailing 59-58. LIU (9-9, 6-3 NEC)forward Jessica Brookes made one of two free throws after Green's failed attempts, setting the stage for the final play of the contest.Coll led UMBC with 13 points and FR Lara Seamon added a career-high 10 rebounds.
