UMBC WOMEN’S BASKETBALL SIGNS TWO TO NATIONAL LETTERS OF INTENT
Head Coach Phil Stern announced the signings of two players on Thursday.
Baltimore, Md. – UMBC women’s basketball head coach Phil Stern announced the signings of Carlee Cassidy (Syracuse, N.Y./Westhill) and Leanne Crockett (Manchester, Conn./Manchester) to National Letters of Intent to play basketball at UMBC beginning in the fall of 2006. Both players bring highly decorated high school careers to the Retrievers.
“We expect Carlee and Leanne to have an immediate impact in the America East Conference,” Stern said. “Both are versatile players and will be able to contribute in several different ways.”

“Leanne is a perfect fit for our system,” Stern said. “She has an excellent feel for the game and great passing ability. She does a little bit of everything on the floor.”
