Baltimore, Md. – UMBC Women’s Basketball Junior Matea Pender was featured in the Baltimore Sun on Friday, Dec. 17, 2004 as she has led UMBC out to a 5-2 record to start the season. Pender last week earned her second America East Co-Player of the Week award and leads the conference in scoring at 18.1 ppg.
