AT AMERICAN (2008-09): Played in 23 games as a freshman for an Eagle team that earned a berth in the WNIT… Averaged 2.7 points and 1.9 rebounds per contest… Shot a team-best 60 percent from the floor (27-for-45)… Scored nine points on 4-of-5 shooting against Howard (Nov. 19)… Made all four field goal attempts for eight points and added three steals at VCU (Dec. 30)… Grabbed six rebounds in nine minutes against Brown (Jan. 6)… Scored six points and added six rebounds and two assists at Holy Cross (Feb. 21).

 

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2008 McDonald’s High School All-America nominee… Averaged 10 points, six rebounds and two steals during her career at Notre Dame Academy in Middleburg, Va.… The Dragons were named the preseason No. 1 team in the nation by Full Court Press and ESPN in 2007-08 and finished the year ranked No. 1 in the Metro area and No. 3 in the country… Led her team to the 2006 Virginia state title… The Dragons posted a combined 57-3 record in her final two seasons at Notre Dame… Served as team captain as a senior… Recipient of the Coaches’ Award as a junior… Tallied 19 points, 10 rebounds and three steals in the 2007 Nike Tournament of Champions national championship game against a team led by current UConn All-American Maya Moore… Selected to the 2008 Bishop Walsh All-Tournament Team… Four of her Notre Dame teammates also went on to play Division I basketball… A four-year honor roll student and a member of the National Honor Society.

 

PERSONAL:  Daughter of Chris Coles and Lisa Bellamy… Father played basketball at Shenandoah University… Has seven younger siblings – Kayla, Christian, Kendall, Taylor, Kamran, Zoi and Loren… Chose UMBC over La Salle, Loyola, Bethune-Cookman and Colgate… Enjoys writing poetry and short stories… Born Jan. 27, 1990… A health administration and policy major who hopes to become a pediatrician.
