NCAA MEN'S & WOMEN'S TENNIS PAIRINGS ANNOUNCED; MEN TO FACE TEXAS A&M; WOMEN TO FACE GEORGIA
UMBC's men and women have been selected to compete in the 2003 NCAA Tennis Championship, the NCAA announced Wednesday. It marks the fifth consecutive appearance for the women's team and the fourth straight for the men in the 64-team field. UMBC's men will open play vs. No. 10 Texas A&M (21-9) in College Station, Texas. Georgia (9-14) and SMU (16-11) will compete in the other opening round matchup. The winners of the first-round matches will meet for a spot in the round of 16. Exact dates and times for the matches in College Station, Texas, have not yet been announced.The women's team will play against Georgia at the University of Oklahoma on Saturday, May. 10. Oklahoma will host Alabama in the other match in Norman, Oklahoma.
