Baltimore—The men’s tennis team won its second home match in two days, edging Duquesne, 5-2, in the final match before spring break. The Retrievers improved to 5-3 on the season.

Junior Fredi Voorman (Talinn, Estonia) won for the seventh time in his last eight matches with a 6-2, 6-2 victory over Jeremy McClelland. He also teamed with senior Nick Savage-Pollock (Montreal, Quebec) to win at No. 1 doubles, 8-4. The Retrievers won all three doubles matches to take that point, then captured the match as Voorman, No. 1 Savage-Pollock, No. 3 Chris Meyer (New Market, Md.) and No. 6 Logan Bricker (Shenandoah, Va.) all won singles matches.

"Our doubles really got us off on the right foot today as we played all three matches well and took the point,” said head coach Rob Hubbard. "Nick, Fredi, and Logan continue to play well in their singles and Chris really pulled out a clutch match in the third today.

"We've got a week of work ahead of us and hopefully a good start to our conference schedule starting with Binghamton on the 21st."
