WOMEN NIPPED BY WEST VIRGINIA

UMBC's women opened the season, losing a tough 4-3 decision to West Virginia in Monroeville, PA. The Retrievers took the doubles point by winning two of three matches, and #1 Anita Pushpanathan and #4 Lana Khvalina won their singles matches in straight sets.
