2007-08: Competed at No. 2 singles and No. 1 doubles in the spring... Did play three matches at No. 1 singles and won all three... Posted a record of 7-6 at No. 1 doubles... 27 of her 51 career match wins have occured in doubles.

 

2006-07: Won all three matches in Flight 2 at the Bucknell Quad... Won two third-set tie breakers… Combined with Pascaline Cette to reach the finals of the “A” flight doubles at the Quinnipiac Invitational... Had difficult task of playing at No. 1 singles in the spring of her freshman year, but produced a 15-12 record and was 33-24 overall... Named second team All America East Conference at No. 1 doubles with Pascaline Cette.  

 

Background: Majoring in biochemistry and molecular biology… A four-year All Metro honoree by The Washington Post and also earned recognition from The Montgomery Gazette, The Washington Examiner and The Montgomery Journal… earned a national ranking of 48 in girls under 18 doubles and was ranked in the top ten in singles and doubles in the Mid-Atlantic region… A member of numerous clubs at Quince Orchard, where she was a Maryland Distinguised Scholar and the treasurer of the National Honor Society… Attended UMBC “for its excellence in the sciences and the opportunity to compete in college tennis”…  Has an older brother, Joe, who is 22… Daughter of Geider and Derli Chen… Born April 22, 1988.
