2007-08: Produced an outstanding freshman campaign as she was inserted at the No. 1 singles position in the spring... Posted a spring mark of 9-5 in that slot and was named America East Performer of the Week on April 1... Recorded an overall mark of 19-10 (singles/doubles) for the year.
Background: Majoring in history... The 2006 New Jersey state girls champion... Fought off four set points and overcame a stress fracture in her left foot to triumph, 7-6 (9-7), 6-4 and become Summit’s first state titlist... Also won Union County title and was named the Player of the Year... also considered the Univ. of South Carolina, but selected UMBC because it “had a great atmosphere, a variety of majors and a welcoming tennis coach and team”... Enjoys writing poetry, the music of Sublime and Cocoa Pebbles... Daughter of Mary Mungo... Born June 3, 1989.
