Senior Milos Djukic won the 100 back Saturday night.

BOSTON--Senior Justin Bronson (Oshawa, Ontario, Canada/Msgr. Paul Dwyer) broke the UMBC record in the 200 free and earned a gold medal in a time of 1:37.23 as the UMBC swimming and diving teams swam in the third day of the America East Championships. The men's team is in first place with 636 points, 20 points ahead of Boston University, while the women's team is second with 440 points, 85 behind Boston University.

The women's 400 medley relay team of freshman Kathryn Moorby (Cape May, N.J./Lower Cape May Regional) and juniors Tereza Kaplanova (Prague, Czech Republic/Gymnazium J.G. Jankovskeho), Jennifer Esposito (Lindenhurst, N.Y./Lindenhurst/C.W. Post) and Sam Maccherola (Woolford, Md./South Carroll/Tennessee) broke the school record in a time of 3:48.38 on their way to finish second. Esposito finished second in the 100 fly in 55.67, seven one-hundredths of a second over the school record, while Maccherola earned silver in the 200 free in 1:48.57.

Senior Milos Djukic (Novi Sad, Serbia & Montenegro/Svetozar Markovic) won the 100 back in 49.76 and was a part of the 400 medley relay team that finished second with sophomore Brad Reitz (Ellicott City, Md./Howard), junior Matt Mattingly (Cherry Hill, N.J./Cherry Hill West) and Bronson in 3:19.88.

Reitz earned silver in the 100 fly with a time of 48.59, while Mattingly took home bronze in the 100 bronze with a time of 57.04.

The action continues tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. for the last prelim session. The finals session begins at 5:30 p.m.
