ASTRID SPERLING NAMED NEC ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Sperling is named Northeast Conference Swimming Athlete of the Week after leading the Retrievers to a 130-107 victory over Towson this past weekend. Sperling took home first place finishes in the 200 individual medley (2:08.86) and the 200 backstroke (2:04.32). Currently, she leads the league in both of these events. She was also part of the 400 medley relay team that finished in a time of 4:03.59 to claim first place honors.
Sperling has won first place in every backstroke and IM event that she has competed in so far this season.
