Stanislawska, Houghton Named America East Swimming and Diving Performers of the Week

Boston-UMBC seniors Agnes Stanislawska and Ashley Houghton were named America East Female Swimmer and Diver of the Week, respectively, for the week ending Jan. 28, the conference announced Tuesday. The award is the fourth of Stanislawska’s career, including the second this season, while it is the eighth all-time and fourth of the season for Houghton.
Stanislawska paced the Retrievers in their 161-130 victory over Marist on Saturday, going out in style on Senior Day with three individual victories. She won the 200-IM in 2:05.50, her fastest dual meet time of the season and just shy of the pool record. She also swept the backstroke events with times of 58.77 in the 100 and 2:03.98 in the 200, both her fastest dual meet times of the season, as well. Stanislawska also led off the winning 200-medley relay.
Houghton swept the diving events against the Red Foxes with scores of 297.68 on the 3-meter board, her best score this season, and 251.39 in the 1-meter competition.
