MEN'S SWIMMING & DIVING DROPS TO FOURTH AT ECAC'S; WOMEN SLIP TO TWELFTH

Pittsburgh, Pa. - After two days of competition at the ECAC Championships, the Retriever men's swimming and diving team fell two spots to fourth place with 238.5 points, while the UMBC women slipped one spot to 12th with 54 points.

On day two, the UMBC men were led by freshman Karn Yimsomruay, who took silver in the 400 IM competition with a time of 4:01.67. Classmate Scott Auchter claimed bronze in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 57.89, while junior Adam Blais was seventh in the 200 freestyle at 1:43.10. Junior Geza Szabo also medaled with an eighth place finish in the 100 butterfly at 51.25.

On the women's side, junior Amber Harris was the only finalist, as she finished seventh in the 100 backstroke with a time of 59.71.
