JEFF SALGADO NAMED AMERICA EAST MEN'S DIVER OF THE WEEK

Sophomore Jeff Salgado (Glen Rock, Pa./South Western/St. Bonaventure) has been tabbed America East Men's Diving Performer of the Week, it was announced by the conference today. He joins Maine's Megan Wolters (Women's Swimming Performer), and Northeastern’s Adela Gavozdea (Women's Diving Performer), as receipients of the awards for the week of January 4-10.
UMBC opened up 2005 with a dual meet sweep of Howard, where Salgado claimed first place in the one-meter diving event with a NCAA First Round Zone qualifying score of 280.50.
