WOMEN’S SWIMMING AND DIVING TEAM FALLS AT NAVY, 176-117

    The UMBC women’s swimming and diving team fell to 1-2 on the season as they dropped a 176-117 decision to Navy this evening.

     

    The Retrievers won just two of 16 events, through the efforts of Rachel Lesslie in the 800 SC meter freestyle (9:11.84) and Amber Harris in the 200 backstroke, with a time of 2:22.49. Harris also finished second in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:07.11.

     

    Other strong performers on the evening for UMBC included Agnes Stanislawska, who finished second in the 200 freestyle (2:09.03) and 200 IM (2:28.17), Lindsey Prather, who was second in the 100 breaststroke (1:15.11), and Lindsey Engler, who took second in both the 100 free (1:00.57) and 50 free (27.26).

     

    UMBC returns to action next weekend when they host Binghamton, Seton Hall, and Millersville at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 6.
