2004-05 SWIMMING & DIVING INCOMING CLASS ANNOUNCED
“We lost such a strong senior class and we had to bring in another strong class to fill their shoes,” Cradock said. “These newcomers will help us make another great run for the conference championships.”
On the women’s side, adding to the Retrievers’ depth in the freestyle events will be Rachel Lesslie (Kingston, Ontario, Canada/Holy Cross), Mary Scott (Plainview, N.Y./Bethpage), and Stephanie Miller (Niskayuna, N.Y./Niskayuna). Specializing in the mid and distance free events will be Katrina Hubbard (Mount Airy, Md./Linganore) and Erin Matthews (Newtown, Pa./Council Rock), while Lindsey Engler (Salisbury, Md./James M. Bennett), Carly Fitzpatrick (Delran, N.J./Delran), and Britta Nelson (Havre de Grace, Md.) will contribute in the sprints. In addition, Lesslie, Scott, and Fitzpatrick will swim the backstroke, Hubbard, Engler, and Scott will help out on the butterfly events, and Miller will contribute in the breaststroke.
On the men’s side, the Retriever team welcomes twelve newcomers as they try to repeat as America East Conference Champions. Cradock’s recruits add much depth, especially in the freestyle events, as Alejandro Lopez (Mexico City, Mexico/The Bolles School), Nebojsa Zimonjic (Yugoslavia/Calvert Hall/Essex CC), Adam Eiben (Pittsburgh, Pa./Central Catholic), Scott Auchter (Wernersville, Pa./Wilson), Zack Hurd (Barrie, Ontario, Canada/Bear Creek), Joey Sementelli (Framingham, Mass./Framingham), Karn Yisomruay (Bangkok, Thailand/The Bolles School), and Dominic Lee (Kingston, Jamaica/Mercersburg Academy) will all contribute.
