Background: Was part of 800 freestyle relay team at Tennessee in 2006 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships that finished seventh and garnered All-American status… Was a scholastic All-American in high school… Selected to the All-Maryland team from 2004-2007… Was open-water 1K champion in 2001 and was a national qualifier at the U.S. Open in 2004… Member of the Green Terror Aquatic Club, earning scholastic All-America honors from 2003-05.
Personal: Daughter of Tracy and Sam Maccherola… Has two brothers, Andrew (20) and Austin (20)… Brother Andrew plays rugby for Towson… Majoring in media and communications with hopes to be a news anchor.
