2007-08: Finished seventh in the 200-yard backstroke and 200 individual medley and was 10^th in the 400 IM at the America East Championships… Also placed 11^th in the 400 IM, 12^th in the 200 IM, 17^th in the 200 back, 20^th in the 100 back and was part of the ninth place 200 medley relay at the Patriot Invitational… Highest finishes of the season came against Marist where she placed second in the 200 back and Maryland and Binghamton where she finished second in the 200 IM… Was also part of the winning 200 medley relay against Binghamton… Swam season-best times in the 200 back (2:10.65) and 400 IM (4:36.44) at the America East Championships, in the 100 back (1:02.65) at the Patriot Invite and in the 200 IM (2:09.49) against Maryland.

Background: A two-sport athlete at Wilson H.S. in West Lawn, Pa…. Named the Pepsi-Cola Female Athlete of the Year… A High School All-American for swimming in 2007 and named All-Berks County in 2006… Part of the Bulldog team that won districts… Also played water polo for Wilson and was named Second-Team All-American, All-League, First-Team All-State, and Berks County Female Water Polo Player of the Year in 2007… Part of the 2005 Bulldog team that won the state championship… Member of the honor roll.

Personal: One of three daughters to James and Maria Cantwell…Sister Rachel (23) swam at Albright College and sister Tina (21) is currently a senior on the UMBC swim team… Majoring in visual arts and would like to become a photographer… Born October 25, 1988.
