2006-07: Finished third in the 200 butterfly, fourth in the 100 fly, and eighth in the 200 freestyle at the America East Championships… Also placed seventh in the 200 fly and 13th in the 200 free and 100 fly and was part of the sixth place 400 free, seventh place 400 medley, 10th place 800 free, and 11th place 200 medley relays at the Patriot Invite… Won the 200 free against Binghamton and the 500 free against Howard… Swam season bests in the 200 free (1:56.02), 100 fly (57.92), and 200 fly (2:06.52) at the America East Championships… 100 fly time ranks eighth on the all-time top ten list… Named to the America East Commissioner’s Honor Roll.

 

Background: Member of the National Honor Society and National Art and Spanish Honor Society in high school… Named to All-State team all four years in high school… Was the 2005 Southern Connecticut Conference champion in the 100-fly… Also the 2004 CIAC L Division Connecticut Champion in the 100-fly… Was named to the New Haven Register All-Area Team in 2005 as well as the Connecticut Post All-Area Team in 2004 and 2005.

 

Personal: Daughter of Lisbeth and James Sherman… Has a younger brother, Adam… Born June 28, 1988… Majoring in physical therapy and hopes to be a physical therapist.
