2005-06: Placed 14th in the mile, 19th in the 500-free and 27th in the 200-free at the America East Championships…took second in the 500-free at Binghamton and third in the 500-free against Towson and in the 1,000-free at Rider and Marist…selected to the America East Honor Roll…swam season-best times in the 200-free (2:03.09) and the 500-free (5:21.08) at the George Mason Invitational and in the 1,000-free (10:59.94) at Rider.

2004-05: Finished fourth in the 1,000-free and fifth in the 500-free against William and Mary in her first collegiate meet…her time in the 1,000-free was a career best…won the first event of her college career when she took the 200-free in the dual meet at Howard…took fourth in the 1,000-free against George Washington…placed 14th in the 1,650-free at the America East Championships.

Background: Selected to the All-District team in 10th, 11th and 12th grades…helped lead her team to the district championship as a sophomore…a four-year letterwinner at Council Rock…was a member of the National Honor Society and the German Honors Society in high school…enjoys cooking and reading…chose UMBC over Millersville…daughter of John and Kristin Mathews…has a younger sister, Megan…born Dec. 17, 1985…majoring in political science and hopes to become a lawyer.
