2005-06: Took bronze in the 100-breast and placed fourth in the 200-breast and 13th in the 50-free at the America East Championships…also won silver with the 400-medley relay and bronze with the 200-medley relay at AEC’s…won a share of the gold in the 100-breast and took bronze in the 200-breast at ECAC’s…only individual dual meet win of the season came in the 200-breast against Bucknell…broke New Hampshire’s pool record as part of the winning 400-medley relay…placed second in the 100-breast at the George Mason Invitational…swam UMBC’s fastest 100-breast (56.97) and 200-breast (2:05.90) times of the season…swam on the winning 400-medley relay at six different meets and on the winning 200-medley relay against Howard…selected to the America East Winter All-Academic Squad and the America East Honor Roll.
2004-05: Tied for second place in the 100-breast at the ECAC’s…also finished 19th in the 200-breast and swam on four relays at that meet…came in eighth in the 100-free and swam on the sixth-place 400-medley relay against William and Mary in his first collegiate meet…highest individual finish of the season was second in the 200-breast against Rider and in the 50-free at Howard.
Background: Was an NISCA All-American in the 100-breast and 200-medley relay…an Academic All-American, Pennsylvania All-State, All-League and All-County selection his senior year…is the county record holder in the 200-meter medley relay…won three gold medals at the District 3 Class AAA Swim Meet…helped lead his team to the state championship as a freshman and sophomore…also lettered in water polo at Wilson and was All-State as a senior…a National Honor Society member…son of Ray and Sandy Auchter…has a younger sister, Amy…born March 14, 1986…a biological sciences major who hopes to become a doctor.
