2005-06: Placed sixth in the 100-free and swam on the fourth-place 400-free relay against Rider in the first meet of his collegiate career…finished second in the 50-free and 200-fly against Towson…contributed in numerous sprint freestyle and butterfly events, as well as relays, throughout the season…selected to the America East Honor Roll…swam season bests in the 50-free (22.31) and 100-free (48.89) at the George Mason Invitational.

 

Background: Was a Frederick County All-County First Team selection in 2004 and 2005…helped his high school team to a 12th-place finish at Metros, the highest finish ever for a Frederick County school…was a member of the National Honor Society and mock trial at Gov. Thomas Johnson…son of Martin and Rebecca Sterba…has an older sister, Meghan, and an older brother, Greg…born Nov. 12, 1987…majoring in computer science and hopes to become a computer programmer.
