2003- Received Rookie of the Meet honors at the NEC Invitational, where he captured gold in the 500 free... Currently holds the school record for the 200 fly with a time of 1:49.03... Was a part of the 400 yard medley relay team that came in second, and the 200 medley relay that came in fourth at the ECAC’s... Won bronze in the 100 fly and silver in the 200 fly at the same competition... Also placed first in the 200 fly in several dual meets throughout the season, including ones against American, Navy, and ECU.
Personal- Was a second-place finisher in the 200 fly at the 2002 Hungarian Senior Championship... Placed ninth in the same event at the 2001 European Junior Championship... Son of Dr. Szabo Matyas and Dr. Szabo Matyasne... Born on April 16, 1983... Majoring in Financial Economics.
