LISA BOONE NAMED NEC SOFTBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Senior co-captain Lisa Boone earns Player of the Week honors after batting .625 on the week, leading UMBC to three conference victories. Boone leads the team in batting (.391) and hits (45) on the season. With her triple versus Wagner, she took over the school’s all-time record with 14 three-base hits. She also holds the top spot in UMBC history in doubles (51) and extra base hits (73) and is on pace to break the school record for hits and games played.
The Owings, MD native went 10-for-16 on the week with two doubles, a triple, and five runs scored.
