UMBC OVERPOWERS UMES, 15-3; GAME AGAINST ALBANY TO BE FINISHED MARCH 22

    Baltimore, MD – UMBC (13-9) outhit UMES (2-4) by a count of 14-6 to take Game Three of the Spring Classic at the UMBC Softball Stadium with a final score of 15-3 (6 innings). Retriever pitcher  Kristin Dulay was awarded the win as she faced seven batters while striking out six in relief, thus improving her season record to 3-3.

    In Game Four, UMBC faced Albany through four innings. However, with the Great Danes leading 1-0, the game was temporarily postponed due to lack of lighting at the UMBC Softball Stadium. Play will resume tomorrow at 8 a.m. beginning with the fifth inning.

    Friday’s Results:Game 1: Canisius-3 Sacred Heart-2 (8 innings)

    Game 2: Sacred Heart-0 Albany-10 (5 innings)

    Game 3: UMBC-15 UMES-3 (6 innings)

    Game 4: Albany-1 UMBC-0 (to be finished on Saturday)
