UMBC improved to 12-9 after completing a sweep of Lasalle on Wednesday afternoon at the UMBC Softball Diamond. LaSalle fell to 3-4.In the opner, UMBC freshman Lauren Nicholson allowed just one earned run and 4 hits in 6.0 innings to improve to 5-4 on the season. The Retrievers scored 5 runs in the bottom of the second to break the game open. JR Lauren Hebb and SR Christy Sheppard each had a pair of hits and SO Lara Seamon drove in a pair of runs.Junior Kristin Dulay went the distance in the nightcap, allowing just one run and 5 hits to improve to 2-3. Hebb, Seamon, and SO Kristie Pickeral each had two hits and Hebb had a game-high 2 RBI's.
