BOONE, HEBB NAMED TO UNC-WILMINGTON SEAHAWK CLASSIC ALL-TOURNAMENT TEAM

The UMBC Softball team came away with a 2-4 record after competing at the Seahawk Classic Tournament, hosted by UNC-Wilmington.
Senior captain Lisa Boone and junior transfer Lauren Hebb were named to the All-Tournament team. Boone played in all six games, recording 11 hits and four RBI's, while batting .478 for the weekend. Hebb, who came to UMBC from Prince George's Community College this winter, batted .421 with eight hits and five RBI's. Two of her hits came as doubles and another two, as home runs.
The Retrievers will return to action this weekend when they travel to VIrginia Beach, VA for the Dixie Classic.
